OOh how time flies. peace out 2009 & HELLO 2010 =)
Every year i subconsciously make new year resolutions and end up either forgetting them or not following through with them. So this year, i tried being more realistic.
My 2010 New Year’s Resolution is:
1. to live everyday, independent from every other day, to maximize my purpose/satisfaction/happiness.
One new years eve i was reading Desiring God blog and i read this:
“I shall not fall into the falsehood that this day, or any day, is merely another ambiguous and plodding twenty-four hours, but rather a unique event, filled, if I so wish, with worthy potentialities”
I think it really struck a cord with me because i started thinking about how quickly 2009 had come and gone and how 2010 was here. As i thought about 2009 i couldnt really remember it. And that’s when i made my 2010 resolution. I want to be happy everyday, day to day, without putting my happiness on hold until tomorrow and really actively trying to fulfill the endless possibilities in any given day.
My purpose and happiness is rooted in THE purpose<3 so thats all that matters =)
